The Director of DUSA Oscar Gave His Greetings
Six Arts Culture Park is honored to have been chosen by DUSA European Association Suzhou to be the venue for its first culture event. The association hopes that such events can help its members to appreciate and learn even more about Chinese arts, traditions snd culture.
The Museum Co-funder Lisa Introduced the Museum
The event began with a welcome meeting in the Six Art Museum’s Event Center. Mr. Oscar Wu, Director of DUSA European Association Suzhou, gave his introduction and greetings. Everyone viewed a short documentary film about the founder of Six Arts Museum, Mr. Mitch Dudek. Following which Lisa Liu, co-founder of the Six Arts Museum, spoke with the guests about the developmental history of the Six Arts Museum.
Guests enjoyed a tour of the Six Arts Museum led by experienced museum guides. All of the guest’s senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch and mind) were delightfully stimulated through their viewing of the ancient folk art pieces, most of which are on open display in the museum, and can not only be viewed, but can also be touched, smelled, etc.
The guests also enjoyed making medicine sachets in the museum’s Chinese medicine cabinet gallery. From picking and weighing, to grinding and finally bagging the medicines, they had a lot of fun while they learned about traditional Chinese medicine culture.
Thanks to DUSA European Association Suzhou Director Mr. Oscar Wu’s leadership and organization, and thanks to Ms. Michelle Xue’s and Ms. Maggie Chen’s thoughtful culture event planning. We welcome more guests from DUSA European Association Suzhou to visit Six Arts Museum to enjoy ancient folk arts and gain a better understanding of Chinese traditional culture.
