On April 13, 2026, students from Duke Kunshan University visited Six Arts Museum for a special journey blending traditional craftsmanship, cultural awareness, and international exchange.

During the tour, students explored various exhibits, captivated by the stunning collection of folk art. Vy from Vietnam excitedly shared that what left the deepest impression was the sedan chair—“I can come in and sit inside and because like l used to see a lot of them on the movies.” This immersive experience brought ancient artifacts to life and made Chinese traditional culture feel close and real for international students.
参观结束后，同学们亲手体验了螺钿胸针的制作。在研学老师的指导下，大家将薄如蝉翼的贝壳片细心镶嵌，拼出属于自己的独特胸针。每一枚胸针都承载着年轻一代对传统工艺的理解与敬意。
After the tour, students had the chance to create their own mother-of-pearl inlay brooches. Guided by DIY handicrafts teacher, they carefully inlaid delicate shell pieces to craft unique accessories that reflect their understanding and respect for traditional craftsmanship. Each brooch embodies a young generation’s appreciation for cultural heritage.
