On January 12, 2025, a team from the Royal Asiatic Society of the United Kingdom visited the Six Arts Museum to participate in an event titled “China’s Art and Aesthetics of the Past: Essence of Wooden Handicrafts.” Led by Julie Chun, the Vice President of the China Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society and an art historian, the group was guided through the museum by curator Jason Chen.
英国和爱尔兰皇家亚洲学会于1823年3月15日由著名的梵文学者亨利·托马斯·科尔布鲁克（Henry Thomas Colebrooke）创立。1824年8月11日，英国国王乔治四世授予它皇家特许状，以“研究和鼓励与亚洲有关的科学、文学和艺术”。
The Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland was founded by the eminent Sanskrit scholar, Henry Thomas Colebrooke, on the 15th March 1823. It received its Royal Charter from King George IV on the 11th August 1824 ‘for the investigation of subjects connected with and for the encouragement of science, literature and the arts in relation to Asia‘.
