The first DIY activity in December was held in the Chinese Medicine Cabinet Gallery. Despite the cold of winter, our Six Arts Experience Card Members joined in the activity with their families.
First, our on-site instructor Yanzi taught the guests everything they needed to get started with the DIY.
With the help of their parents, the children learned how to use the traditional Chinese scale.
The instructor prepared two different recipes for the sachet.
One was made from the acorus tatarinowii herb and queen of the meadow wildflowers for refreshing the nerves and the other wasmade from acacia and the sweet pea shrub for soothing the mind.
After selecting the favored sachet type and learning about the names of the herbs in the recipes, the guests went to the medicine cabients to select and measure their herbs using the traditional Chinese scale.
The mixed herbs were then ground by ancient grinders, which is an essential part of the processof making Chinese Medicine sachets and enables the herbs to emit their fragrances.
Everyone was fully immersed in making the Chinese Medicine sachets and getting acquainted with traditional Chinese medicine.
The healing powers of Chinese medicine sachets help to refresh and soothe our minds.
As the cold of winter sets in, we invite you to enjoy a heartwarming DIY experience at Six Arts!
