Six Arts Museum, with its rich collection of ancient folk art pieces and unique architectural and interior / exhibit design style which seamlessly incorporates western and Chinese artistic design elements, has become well known as an ideal place for students from art and architectural design schools and institutes to study and conduct academic research.

来到了六悦文化园进行调研
Students from Soochow University School of Art majoring in Environmental Design recently visited Six Arts Museum. On the afternoon of November 8th, Soochow University professor Wang Zemeng and instructor Gong Ying, led a group of undergraduate students from the class of 2019 and graduate students from the class of 2021 and 2022, on a study and academic research tour of the Six Arts Museum and Six Arts Culture Park.

The Environmental Design Major at Soochow University School of Art consists of two subgroups, Interior Design and Landscape Design. The school’s aim is to cultivate talent with professional and innovative skills in these two professions.

Professor Wang Zemeng is a leading scholar in environmental culture, landscape design and related theoretical research. He has led students on study tours of the Six Arts Museum and Six Arts Culture Park on a number of occasions.

认识了各类中国传统家具和
中国传统建筑的木雕构件等等
也深入到了六悦庄博物馆酒店
感受结合传统艺术品装饰的
酒店及花园景观设计巧思

Under the guidance of Six Arts Museum’s senior tour guide, the Soochow University students studied and learned about all kinds of traditional Chinese furniture and wood carving components of traditional Chinese architecture. They also had an opportunity to tour the Six Arts Museum Hotel and garden where they studied and learned about its unique east meets west, ancient meets modern, fusion style of interior design and garden landscape design.

Through their study tour to Six Arts Museum and Six Arts Culture Park, the Soochow University students broadened their horizons, developed a deeper appreciation of aesthetics. and collected quite a bit of art design reference materials which will serve them well with their major studies and in their professional careers.
