六悦博物馆三楼漆画箱馆展出的漆箱中,有一个富有谐音梗的漆画箱。

Among the lacquer boxes exhibited on the third floor of the Six Arts Museum, there is a lacquer box with a rich homophonic pun.
一只猫和一只蝴蝶,取其谐音:耄耋。
"Mao" is the word for cat and "Die" is the word for butterfly. But the same pronunciation of the combined words "Mao Die" also homophonically sounds the same as the words for "senior".
耄耋,读作mào dié。耄,年纪约八十至九十岁。耋,年纪为八十岁。耄耋指年纪很大的人。语出曹操《对酒》:“人耄耋,皆得以寿终。恩泽广及草木昆虫。”
A word pronounced as "Mao" refers to a person around eighty to ninety years old. Another word pronounced as "Die" refers to a person who is eighty years old. Therefore, "Mao Die" refers to a person of very advanced age.
漆画箱上所画的猫和蝴蝶,谐音“耄耋”,代表高寿,孩童则代表着儿孙绕膝、子孙满堂。
The cat and butterfly painted on the lacquer box, homophonically pronounced as "Mao Die" symbolize longevity, while children represent grandchildren and a house full of descendants.
