"What does an ideal ancient Chinese town look like?"
On July 30th, Shanghai Daily, the Shine channel, featured a video article in the cultural tourism section titled, “Lili ancient town offers an immersive trip into Chinese poetry.” The article introduced the millennium-old ancient town of Lili,
referred to as, “Pear Blossom Village" in the poetry of Yuan Mei from the Qing Dynasty, and is now also the home of the Six Arts Museum, a national caliber gem hidden within the ancient town.
Shanghai Daily, launched in October 1999, is published by the Wen Hui Xin Min United Press Group. It is China's first local English-language daily newspaper.
Since 2005, the distribution of Shanghai Daily has expanded to cover the entire Yangtze River Delta region. It is the most influential foreign-language media in the region.
