On October 27, 2022, amidst the fresh autumn air filled with the fragrance of blooming flowers, members of the Western Art Professional Committee of the Shanghai Collection Association arrived at Six Arts Museum.
The Western Art Professional Committee of the Shanghai Collection Association is a relatively young professional committee which is comprised of Western art collectors, connoisseurs and researchers. The committee members are dedicated to the dissemination and sharing of art specialties, while focusing on systematic and professional art collection.
The committee consists of a group of professional art consultants, including art collectors, art operators, and art enthusiasts who wish to create a platform for borderless art education, appreciation, dissemination and exchange, in order to popularize, communicate, research and expand the appreciation of Western art, as well as the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.
Members of the Western Art Professional Committee visited Six Arts Museum because of their love for both Chinese and Western cultures. They especially came Six Arts in order to be inspired and amazed by the unique art pieces and multi-cultural experience which the Six Arts Museum provides.
The Six Arts Museum houses an amazing number of traditional Chinese folk art objects. The museum galleries and exhibitions successfully integrate bold Western artistic design and color aesthetics, with the beautiful subtlety of the Chinese art pieces on display, thereby creating a quite special one of a kind east meets west artistic experience.
The galleries and art collections in the Six Arts Museum provided a valuable resource for the members of the Western Art Professional Committee for research and Chinese / Western cultural exchange. The members’ senses — sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch and mind, were all stimulated and delighted during their visit. We at Six Arts Museum will continue to strive to please our visitors with extraordinary ancient folk art works placed in amazing east meets west exhibition and gallery settings.
Thanks to Western Art Committee for the photos.
